It is an absolutely essential device in the toolkit of a well-versed jazz improviser. This book contains 60 phrases that are based on the whole tone scale and is organized in two halves. The first half contains all phrases belonging to the C, D, E, F#, G#, and A# whole tone collections, while the second half contains transpositions of the first half to the C#, D#, F, G, A, and B collections.
